This is a personal recommendation from myself, and I only recommend hotels that I know and use in Kazakhstan. I live and work in Shymkent, and Hotel Bellagio is a lovely, family run hotel, with very affordable prices. The owners are lovely people who try their utmost to make you feel very welcome.The attention to detail throughout the hotel is wonderful, and it has a lovely classical style and feel.
There is an excellent restaurant and bar, free WiFi and parking at the front. Each room has a TV, air
conditioning and a minibar. All rooms have their own bathroom with a shower or
bath. There is a
24-hour front desk. It is very pleasant just to sit in the bar and have a cool beer. Shymkent Airport is 15 minutes away.
There is a visitors book like I have rarely seen in other hotels. It is full of glowing, hand written reviews from guests all over the world. It is a wonderful testament to the hard work of the owners and staff. There is no better publicity and recommendation than this book.
